From my audience questionnaire we have learnt that we have efficiently brought our products across to our target audience. The responses from the questions show that we have made an entertaining short film, with a clear narrative that is expected from the Social realism genre. There was again another split between the quality of acting, which was a difficult subject because I used amateur actors and this was also something the audience felt could be improved the most. Furthermore, the overall rating of the film was relatively high mostly above six. However, using a questionnaire gave us closed answers and did not allow the audience to elaborate on their ideas or feelings about the film. We, therefore, decided to do an audience feedback discussion group, with more open questions allowing the audience to tell us what they really feel about our short film. My audience research also led me to the conclusion that the audio was just as key in a social realism film as the visuals. My research found that most social realism films use non diegetic sound that increases in volume, pitch, tempo and 'layers' as visual tension builds.
